Insert Omnisphere 2 Setup
Received Boxed Omisphere 2 (FULL - 8 DVD's) from Sweetwater this morning...HOORAY!
- Inserted Disc A
- Logged into my user account
- Entered my serial number
- Downloaded the Installers
- Ran the Step 1 Installer for Windows (Omnisphere 2 Installer.exe)
- Went through the prompts (where to install plugin / where to install Steam)
- Clicked 'Install'
- I get a dialogue box which states, 'Insert Spectrasonics Omnisphere then click OK. Press Cancel to terminate the entire installation process'
(Disc A is still in the drive)
- Click OK and the same dialogue box pops up...over and over.
- Insert/Reinsert Disc A a time or two
- Same message
When I click 'Cancel' something small installs quickly and I am presented with, 'Completing the Omnisphere Setup Wizard. Please run the data updater to complete the process'
Data updater says. 'Unable to find Steam Folder'
Well, of course...nothing was installed.
My guess is the 'Step 1 Installer' is the culprit.
I am so bummed. I really thought the full install would not have the issues that many of you who upgraded encountered.
Called Tech Support - Told via a voice message to email them, as phone support is backed up for days...
emailed Support....
And now I wait.
Any suggestions GREATLY appreciated...
This soundset uses a hybrid setup and will be developed for the new Omnisphere 2.5 For Kontakt Forrest and Field Guitar 1.0 – a new library for Kontakt is currently being recorded and programmed with a beautiful sounding Tanglewood steel stringed guitar. Ran the Step 1 Installer for Windows (Omnisphere 2 Installer.exe) - Went through the prompts (where to install plugin / where to install Steam) - Clicked 'Install' - I get a dialogue box which states, 'Insert Spectrasonics Omnisphere then click OK. Press Cancel to terminate the entire installation process' (Disc A is still in the drive). This is the folder where it installed Copy the address to paste into FL-Studio or manually locate the folder Now I'm going to show manually locate the folder Or you can locate this following path C:ProgramDataSpectrasonics After that, Click Start Scan And here you can see the Omnisphere 2 VST Make sure check mark Omnisphere 2 Once done, close. Connect a MIDI controller to your computer via USB or MIDI, then launch Omnisphere 2. Click View on the top left-hand corner of the window, then navigate to Settings. Locate the Active MIDI Inputs section and make sure that your MIDI controller is listed and has a checkmark next to it. You can also customize which MIDI inputs will trigger the samples.

Insert Omnisphere 2 Setup Download
I just purchased OMINISPHERE 2 and I cannot install it. the installer crashes the moment I click the last button (Install). I hope I get some support from the company but it's weekend and I hoped to play with the instruent for 2 days. Instead I'm stuck and I really hate the fact that many companies do not offer help on weekends. This is also true for Ableton.
I have boxed version with USB drive. Any ideas how to get this thing installed ?
